If an

appropriate academic level.
Planned

select the programme that you wish to study. Please ensure that you have
identified the correct teaching location. This is especially important as
some programmes may be taught at a number of our Partner Colleges or at
collaborative centres overseas.
Programmes

display a location e.g. 'BA Business Administration'
Programmes at partner college locations are shown including the college title

Employment and Supporting
Information
Please include
all your work experience and training, paid or unpaid, full or part time, in
your home or outside. This is particularly helpful in enabling admissions staff
to assess the information regarding your qualifications.
Personal Statement: Please enter a personal statement
up to 2,000 characters, approximately 250 words. We recommend that you prepare
your personal statement offline using a word-processor and then paste the text
into the online form. This is to prevent your work being lost as the online application
system will time out after a period of inactivity.
The
Personal Statement is an important opportunity for you to demonstrate your
commitment to study by commenting on factors that have not been referred to
elsewhere on the application form. Admissions Tutors will be interested
in your reasons for applying to study on your chosen programme, your relevant
experience, career aspirations and what you hope to achieve from your
studies. You should also include information about any hobbies or activities
(paid or unpaid) that you have undertaken that are relevant to your application
This is also an opportunity to provide information about non-accredited
achievements such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award or any subject that you are
studying that does not have a formal assessment. If you have been out of
education for some time, please outline any relevant experience that may be
taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications, either at home or in
voluntary or paid employment. This may also help to explain any breaks in
your career.
If you
are applying to undertake MPhil/PhD research you do not need to make a personal
statement. The personal statement section should be used for Applications
to MPhil/PhD programmes to provide an Initial Research Project Proposal of
300 – 500 words This Proposal should indicate the specific area of research in
which you are interested, why you wish to undertake this project, the proposed
methodology, and the intended outcomes of your research.
In the
statistical information section you should clearly indicate who will be paying
the fees and costs of this research.
This will
enable the Faculty to ascertain whether your proposed research programme can be
facilitated in terms of supervisory support and resources. Please note:
In most cases, if your application is successful, initial registration will be
on an MPhil programme (with or without the possibility of progression to a PhD
programme). For exceptional candidates direct entry to a PhD programme
may be considered by a Research Degrees Committee (this normally occurs shortly
after commencing your programme of study).
For
further information regarding undertaking research at this university please
refer to our web-site at www.greenwich.ac.uk/research

been studied. You should include the details of
any modules that were included in the subject as well as the grade or marks
awarded for the module. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IF
YOU HAVE STUDIED EDEXCEL, ACCESS OR DEGREE COURSES.
If you are studying on a course

‘Grade/Result’ column, you should write the date that you will be taking the
examination in the ‘Date of Completion Column’.

Language Qualifications (for applicants whose first language is not English)
e.g.: TOEFL or IELTS you should indicate the qualification taken, grade of the
award and the date the examination was taken.
Level: Please enter the qualification level e.g. 'A-Level'. Qualifications
should be shown with the highest at the top of the section e.g. Postgraduate
level, then undergraduate, then HND etc

section to provide details of any individual unit grades, these should be
expressed with the overall award first and then the unit title separated by a
colon. For example to provide results from a Maths award you might include
subjects such as Maths: Pure Maths, Maths: Statistics etc.
Grade (blank if pending): Enter the grade for the overall qualification (or unit). If this
qualification has not yet been completed the grade field should be left blank.
Date Awarded or expected: Please enter the date the qualification was awarded. If you are still
studying for the award please enter the date when you expect to complete.
Please enter your most recently attended educational establishments first.
